A Fantastic Conference Center

Cheri Hudson Passey is a Professional Genealogist, Instructor, Writer, and Speaker and the owner of Carolina Girl Genealogy, LLC. Cheri is the host of the genealogy chat show GenFriends. She was recently one of the in-person speakers at 2023 RootsTech.

Cheri is the owner of Carolina Girl Genealogy, LLC (http://www.carolinagirlgenealogy.com/), and a YouTube channel GenFriends (https://www.youtube.com/@GenFriends)  Along with traditional client research, her Genealogy 1-on-1 Research Services include classes that provide individual and group instruction as well as coaching for all levels and needs. She also enjoys speaking and writing about the many aspects of family history and has spoken at local, and state workshops, organizations, and conferences. She recently spoke at RootsTech.

Recently she has been honored to join a team of genealogical researchers for the U.S. Army in their effort to repatriate Soldiers who have been listed as Killed in Action. By using her skills to locate next of kin, it is hoped positive identification through DNA testing will occur when remains are discovered and our war heroes can return home to their families.

Cheri is a member of the National Genealogical Society, Association of Professional Genealogists, The NextGen Genealogy Network, APG-SL Chapter where she serves as the chapter liaison, and The South Carolina Historical Society,

One of the best features of the Hughes Metropolitan Complex is the location — and being just a mile north of the main Wichita State University Campus is only a small part of that. Close proximity and quick access to K-96, I-35 and I-135 makes getting to and from the venue a pain-free experience.

One of the most popular feature of the Hughes Metropolitan Complex is the parking. It’s right next to the building — and it’s free. There are 1,100 parking spaces. No steps. No elevators. It doesn’t get much easier. As part of the WSU system, the Metroplex is a first-class venue.
